Lol wut? Trust me, there are PLENTY of reasons to not be obsessed with Xion. So you like a character most of the fandom dislikes. So? You can still like her without dismissing other's opinions as inferior. Just as you're entitled to love her, I'm equally entitled to hate her.

OP shouldn't presume to know why others hate a character. There are plenty of reasons to love and hate her and you can't generalize. Plenty of people who don't like akuroku hate her too.

Ultimately, a person is entitled to hate her (or any character, for that matter) just as much as OP loves her for any reason whatsoever, even if it's for no reason at all.

OP needs to learn to phrase things better. OP has no problem with Xion-haters who have a logical, plot-related reason. OP is just REALLY sick of femme-hate in fandom.

Makes no sense to blame Xion for breaking AkuRoku anyway. Personally, I blame Roxas.

Haha Roxas is my favorite character but yeah, this.

I know that there are plenty of people who hate her for legitimate reasons, but a large percentage of the haters just hate her for the same reasons they hate Kairi and Namine- they get in the way of the mansex. (And I'm a yaoi fangirl myself, so it's not slash-hate.) It doesn't piss me off that they hate her, just that many people hate her for a reason like THAT. I'm really sick of the complete lack of girl power in fandom.

I've never played that game, but I can relate to the Kairi hate. I didn't hate her, but I really didn't like her in KH1 and subsequent appearances didn't do much to endear me to her character. It wasn't because I shipped Sora/Riku (though the subtext there is kinda ridiculous) but instead because Kairi basically embodied several trait I dislike in characters.

But if I spoke out about the fact that I disliked her, it was pretty much assumed that it was because I hated girls or that she was getting in the way of my ship. Which is frankly annoying, to be honest, when you can ship a couple and dislike the canon love interest and still not have misogynistic reasons for it.

TLDR; there are plenty of reasons to dislike a character. If people are honestly being misogynistic twits, then I agree, there's an issue. But it seems pretty common to toss around a heading of "misogynist!" even when there are legit reasons to dislike a character.

(Namine was pretty damn awesome, for what it's worth.)

I'm not as judgemental as I seem. I can totally get not liking the girls, and I understand people's reasoning. I don't get pissed until it's obvious that it's yaoi-femme-hate.
