No, that's wrong too. What you should be annoyed about is that they're judging you due to your own PERSONAL TASTE -- which is stupid. It doesn't mean they're idiots or not looking "deeply enough" if they dislike it, but it does make them wrong to be looking down on you for enjoying something you enjoy.

I do get the frustration behind the secret, though. People who judge like that are incredibly obnoxious.

Ehe, you got across what I was trying to gently imply, only... not gently! But yeah, that's pretty much true. The reason it's wrong is pretty much because the OP's going "no, I like this thing and it's my right to like it, but it's not your right to dislike it!" and that just shows a pretty big blind spot there. It's presumptuous of both sides; people really need to just live and let live.

.... I see how it came off that way, but I really didn't mean it to.

It's more "how dare you judge me for watching a show that you never gave a chance?" Yeah, it starts out slow, it's uncomfortable in parts and has some problems (though they are at least trying to work that out), but a great deal of the people who treat me like a pariah for liking the show have only seen one episode. Or quit watching because "I didn't like the way the episodes were disconnected" which was actually brilliant because Echo wasn't remembering everything at that point! The fact that people don't care enough to even think about that and would rather just condemn it as a bad show is horribly depressing to me.

I get that some people dislike the show for totally legitimate reasons and I respect that, unfortunately these people are hardly ever the one who I end up talking to and are certainly not the ones the secret was aimed at as it's the legitimate haters that I have had some of the best discussions about Dollhouse with.
