4. TL;DR. But that picture looks familiar.

7. Why are internet people so unhappy with their lives? :

[identity profile] thepinkangel.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 01:08 am (UTC)(link)

I suppose some replace their unhappy real lives with false internet ones? In theory. They can be someone else online, or something.

7 - When I was little watching a specific episode of Duck Tales made me disappointed because how boring was the real world going to be without time travel devices or magic or crazy science contraptions?
My favourite fannish things most of the worlds are too brutal or empty (y halo thar FFVIII) to live in. But living in Space Channel 5's world would have to be pure joy.

16 - I watched all of Robin Hood, but it's got too many unintentional lulz for me to squee over it. But Gisbourne was excellent - I love a crap villain and then he had a silly outfit and sulks on top of that. Win. Whole show needed more Roy, Alan, Much and bawling Sheriff.

I'm more disappointed and heart broken by the fact that there's nothing. Just absolutely NOTHING.

I'm barely hanging by a thread in the Bleach fandom, but from the looks of her impossibly long A/Ns, her so-called 'writing style' reeks of pretentiousness :|

Also I went into her writing journal and the first thing that I see is Gai/Sakura fic. I fear.

Admittedly, it's hard to take her seriously as a writer when, in the same author's note, she pretentiously compares herself to Poe and Nabokov and goes on to talk about Ulquiorra wanting to fondle someone's boobs.

14: I know! It makes me sad, even if I only found out about it in high school.

15: ....You have more free memory than me >.>

16! and other robin hood fans :D

[identity profile] feywood.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
[livejournal.com profile] robinhood_bbc is the most active community
[livejournal.com profile] robinhoodbbc_us is spoiler free for American viewers
[livejournal.com profile] rh_press is a bi-weekly fandom newsletter

There's fic, tons of icons, links to loads of interviews, there was even art at some point. There's other actor specific communities too, a couple of pairing communities, a fic request comm, uhhh, well, loads. And more treeporn than you can shake a stick at. :DD

#4...

I know exactly what you mean. Heck, that post could've been me so many times.

I almost wonder, actually... given some recent things that have happened in a section of fandom I'm in... if I might know more about this than I realize. But I doubt it, since it's not an anime fandom.
hughes: (chase has nothing on this guy;)

3. I'd just like to comment on how I love how that House picture is used in every gay House secret ever. XDDD <3

[identity profile] hako-neko.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
14. I miss Tenchi... I hate that GXP ruined it and left out all of the important elements that made that series so good.

[identity profile] gysecune.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
2. I love Treasure Planet. ♥

6. It's weird...it's not so much the secret or the idea of writing fanfiction on Columbine that pisses me off - it's the picture. Those people are grieving. Have some respect.

16

[identity profile] kosher-jenny.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
I love this show too! I've been following it on BBCA, and yes, Robin/Marian/Guy sounds really hot. I'd do them too. I think Much and Robin are adorable as well, although Robin can be a bit of a jerk to him sometimes. :|

[identity profile] untouchable.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Oh heck yes. ♥

[identity profile] shahni.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
2. Oh god, Treasure Planet. I think it was a beautiful attempt at animation and I STILL don't know why it wasn't taken well. The relationship between him and Silver was BEAUTIFUL. AUGH. I WANNA SEE IT AGAIN.

4. I kinda sympathise (sped read through that) but... to be honest, there's nothing you can do about it, and the fact that this person is fickle at all wont make things any better, because they're not going to change. Live and let live? Mourning over them isn't going to miraculously change them. Best thing to do is to go have as much fun as you can! Good luck!

9. I agree, but for some reason, sometimes, the 'main' pairings can actually be done well. But oh would I love to see someone write Macus Bogard x Raven. (Props to anyone who recognizes those names.)

13. BAHAHAHA, I'VE TRIED THIS. I never risk taking handhelds to the bath though. But books and bubble-bath are good, if just for the fact that suds wont let the book sink. :D

14. Tenchi was a cute series, for being a harem one. My favorite was the last movie.

I just never found Tenchi attractive enough for it to make any sense. Screw Tenchi, give me his gramps! Or Kiyone. Aheh.

2. I SMELL A CHRISTMAS PRESENT. ;) ♥

[identity profile] gallifreygal.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
I still <3 Tenchi Muyo, but I feel kind of guilty (and so very alone!) for liking GXP more. ^^;

And Geneon just announced that they're re-releasing Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo, and the three movies in new DVD box sets this summer! Yes!

[identity profile] gallo-de-pelea.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
#13: THAT IS ONE SWEET BATHROOM.

[identity profile] dreaming-faerie.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
14. I remember that series. It was pretty good. My friend still loves it and Ryoko. I wish I could find Call Me Princess by Ayeka. D:

[identity profile] murasaki-kaze.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
13. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I'm terrified that I'm going to drop my DS in the sink or something. D:

I can totally relate to this one. And it sucks n.n

[identity profile] samuraiter.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
To #13: Yup, I have that same fear, so I keep all my portables far from the bathroom. (Of course, I start worrying that I'll drop other things in the toilet, like my glasses.)

To #14: The original Tenchi Muyo is an anime classic, and I'll always be fond of it. If only the creators could stop making crappy spin-offs and just let it go!

9. Is the Kakashi/Iruka picture an actual screenshot from the anime?

3

[identity profile] jblankbluth.livejournal.com 2007-04-23 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
People actually argue the semantics of hot, ass-thumping sex?

Anyway, I love how that picture of House and Wilson ALWAYS shows up somewhere.

Tenchi Muyo / in Tokyo / Universe is what lit my interest in anime. ♥ While it isn't a series I'd really care to watch nowadays, it'll definitely always be a part of what brought me into anime, manga, & all that good stuff. :)

[personal profile] pleonasm 2007-04-23 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Re #9: I feel your pain! Produce fanworks yourself, and perhaps more people will take an interest. That's what I've been doing.

Re #14: I just had a long convo with someone about this. I think the fandom is mostly dead here. New comm? We totally should. This series hooked me on anime and I just got myself caricatured as Washu this weekend....
