Go see it. No matter what people say about the plot and such, the visuals are beautiful and totally worth paying the money to see on the big screen in 3D. Plus, it's loooong, so in my opinion you get your money's worth.

You know, it really threw me when I realized that most of the Na'vi were voiced by black people, whereas most of the humans were played by white people. And people can't see the unfortunate implications in this?

Which, IMO, is exactly what you should do - see it for yourself, and be your own judge. Everyone's going to have their opinion; just see it and form your own! If you're that torn about it and can stand to wait a while, maybe get it on NetFlix or On Demand or something when it comes out on DVD?
