(no subject)

New poll (as the other was misleading for some) after taking what everyone had to say into account. Some things have changed:

The grouping will only be for the big fandoms, if it happens i.e. if there are more than 5 secrets of the same fandom in the same day's batch. So if there were 20 Doctor Who secrets, they would be grouped together. If there were 4 Supernatural secrets, they would be kept random.

The rest of the post would be random as usual, so the randomness would never be completely lost.

The secrets will continue to be picked in random order from the week's batch.

[Poll #1511296]

Okay but this is something I don't get. It's not fandomthoughts. It's fandomsecrets. So when you get a bunch of secrets in a row that are all saying the same thing or similar, it's really not a secret anymore, or maybe wasn't to begin with, and you should feel free to happily discuss your thoughts in your own fandom specific communities and personal LJs! I guess I just don't get why you would make secret after secret when what you really *seem* to want to do is talk about your own fandom in a multimedia way. Like, is there no community wherein you can share your thoughts for your large fandom? In such a case, you should start a new comm!

Anyway, I'm probably Doing It Wrong, or something.

No, this needs to be said. So many just want attention on shit that can just go in that fandom's own community.

I would also love to know how the post you're replaying to is discrimination? OP?

This, this, this. A thousand times this.

This.

To be honest I'm kind of gobsmacked that someone actually creates that many secrets on multiple weeks.

This. People who do that are kind of missing the point of the word "secret."

Also, a lot of the big fandoms have their own secret comms, so the perfect place for anon to share her fandomthoughts might already exist.

Unless, of course, she really just wants the attention of an eleven-thousand-member community.

naaaah, that *couldn't* be. Li'l ol' OP is just the sweetest, most well-intentioned fandomer out there!
