Haha, all those zelda games. I get through all of the dungeons and then when it gets to the boss I hand the controller off to someone else. I never really mention that to my friends when talking about zelda games. Surely if I didnt have someone around me to beat the bosses for me, Id never have seen the end of games like Oot, MM, TP.
So you beat your first zelda by yourself :> You're better off than me

The final boss is just way too frustrating. I find it 100 times worse than The World Ends With You's final boss, and I almost smashed my ds off the floor with that.

LOLOL OP, ARE YOU ME? The only diff is that my first game to complete was actually Twilight Princess.

But I did the same thing. Collaborations with my brother on all the other games... except for Phantom Hourglass (and ST); I bought that game for myself and beat it alone. Incidentally, I'm pretty damn far in Spirit Tracks, but something I did caused me to have to start all the way over in getting the final map at the top of the Temple of Spirits (damn lava), so... well, when that happened, I put the game down. :| that was like 3 weeks ago. LOL. I have little patience for video games. I'll probably pick it back up eventually though; Zelda games are my fav. <3

I don't get why people lie about playing games. There's nothing wrong with watching people play games. Good job on completing a Zelda game, though! I've always wanted to, but they frustrate me a lot. I should watch Let's Plays or something.

Yay, congrats, anon! Spirit Tracks was my first completed Zelda game too! Got it for Christmas and managed to finish it 2 weeks later. Was so happy with myself.

I started playing Ocarina years ago and for some reason never completed it. I think I either couldn't figure something out or where to go next or I couldn't defeat a boss (or was too scared of a boss to try, that happens a lot and I'm too stubborn to get other people to do the bosses for me). And then my brother decided to carry on with my save. I'd really like to finish that one someday though, it was a really lovely game.
Phantom Hourglass I may have finished by now if I hadn't somehow lost it :( Then again, I hadn't played it for a while when I lost it because I got frustrated with that temple bit you have to do over and over just to get a little further in.
I'm in the middle of Wind Waker at the moment, but I'm on a break from it to concentrate on work. But I think I can finish it if I push myself.

I felt the exact same way you did. I lied my entire childhood, talking to the my closest guy friends about all about Majora Mask and epesically Ocarina of Time, they thought of me as an equal. I was just a liar. I was so completely excited when I beat Windwaker all on my own. Since then I've been on a journey to beat the other ones on my own so to make up for this. In a way...haha.

Right now I'm trying to beat Majora's Mask. :/

My first (and as of now) Zelda completion was Wind Waker. Even though I made my cousin do the stealth mission at the very beginning (but that was it). I know this isn't the same as having you friends experience this joy with you, but I'm proud of you! ^.^ just have fun and remember that they are video games and you can always go back a beat them on you own if you want to.

I hate when people get all uppity about games. I mean, who cares? They're just a form of entertainment. Even if you didn't play it 100% yourself you still had/have fun with it right?? That's all that should matter. Anyone that gets all up in your business about not having completed a game on your own is a snobby elitist and should go away. :I

Same goes for using strategy guides, cheat codes, easy mode/etc/etc/etc. :\

Awww congrats anon. Although I have beaten quite a few Zelda games, they still scare me whenever I have to fight bosses or minibosses or get locked up in a room with some kind of thing. So be proud of yourself, because Zelda games can be challenging.

That said I really love Spirit Tracks.
