I don't really think that there's anything wrong with that anon.

Who said that needs to write a 20 chapter fic or fill a sketchbook with fanart to consider themselves to be in fandom? As long as you love your fandom and enjoy it, you are as much of a fan and part of the fandom as anyone else.

This does come from a fellow lurker who just squees on her LJ, but really, the lurker is as part of the fandom as anyone else.

I hardly write fic, I hardly draw any fanart, I like to make icons, that's about it. And you know what? There's nothing wrong with that.

Anon, there's nothing wrong with "NOT CONTRIBUTING" to fandom, because really, the fact that you're JUST involved in the game doesn't make you less of a fan!

Can't draw, can't make fancy icons, still working up the courage to write anything. Hell, I can't even play the damn games. I get by on YouTube, all the while cursing my crappy laptop and lack of funds, gawking at art and fic while I'm waiting for them to load.

It's all cool. What are they gonna do, hack into our computers and kick us off the internet?

I feel ya. It takes me so damn long to draw anything for fandom, I almost may as well not be able to draw.
Pointless. And I never feel like part of fandom any other way, either.
Doesn't mean I'm not a fan.
