Well, that's certainly a shame, because it is a good show, but YMMV.

also, the show is boring. it's Murder, She Wrote with a dude and a love interest.

What the hell? Do not demote Beckitt to a "love interest". If you don't like the show, whatever, different strokes and all that, but don't act like it's Murder, She Wrote with a guy and devalue the characters.

This show has actual characters of color in their cast (awesome ones at that) and one of the main characters is a woman who basically kicks all kind of ass, not to mention Castle's family who are all strong female characters.

Sorry. I didn't mean to offend.

I can't get past Fillion's smug face. :/

People hate Nathan?

I thought that was impossible.

It should be.... UNPOSSIBLE!

I mean for reals, Nathan is one of the down to earth nice celebrities, despite all the fan girls!

It's more than possible. I'm really tired of it being assumed that because I'm female, straight, and in fandom, I must be hot for him. I think he's annoying, not attractive. I'm not the OP; this is my only comment on this secret.

Up until this show came on and was reasonably successful, the fact that he kept getting cast as the lead in shows that lasted less than half a season was making me think, "Hey, entertainment industry! Stop trying to make Nathan Fillion happen!"

My feelings toward Nathan Fillion are the opposite of hate. They're more like unreasonable amounts of glee. However, here is how I feel about the show:

1. Nathan Fillion is playing an hilariously OTT version of himself, playing up the immature and the egotistical. If you already hate him, I'm sure that would grate. I think it's amazing.

2. Other main characters are impressively diverse, and as a feminist I really admire its strong yet three-dimensional female characters (in fact, going right from Castle to Supernatural is depressing and inadvisable).

3. Beyond that, it's a standard, boring procedural. Blah blah plot blah blah, get to the shenanigans already!
