Yes, really. A first year film student could make better films. I'd know, I was a first year film student. Which he never was. The man's a complete amateur and it shows.

Idiot once fucking tried to film a scene in Sin City with a real car instead of a rig, and gobshite had to find out the hard way WHY they use rigs instead of real cars. Complete. Fucking. Amateur.

He didn't direct Sin City, though. So ... yeah, cool story, bro. Either you're talking about QT's half of Grindhouse (haven't seen it, don't really want to), or Roberto Rodriguez, who did direct Sin City (haven't seen it either).

I'm just saying, you know, look your shit up before you foam at the mouth and whip out your ~*~film student~*~ credentials.

He directed the scene with Dwight and Jackie Boy in the car, feel free to look it up.

Robert Rodriguez, on the other hand, is quite naturally talented as a film-maker, but can't seem to crawl out from under Tarantino's shadow, which is a shame. Sad to think of him being stuck playing second banana to a man with all the creativity of a 15-year-old.

I wasn't aware having been a film student was considered a credential anywhere, let alone the internet.

Did you miss where I said I haven't seen either film? IMDB trivia section confirms your claim about Tarantino directing the scene, as well as about the car (so, lol, I guess I fail), though, so now I wonder if you have a link describing the debacle in detail? If it was that much of a cockup, that's hilarious. All IMDB says is that "Tarantino realized his friend was right" about using the rig vs. the real car.

I'm a film student and he's my favorite director. He might not have been formally trained but that doesn't mean he's not talented.
