Yes, well. GOOD FOR YOU. (tries not to be bitter)

Some of us had that hair when we were younger and still have that hair now, it was nice to finally read about the bushy haired girl who couldn't manage it so seeing it sort of randomly disappear on screen (to where it's barely even there anymore, they're not trying) is sort of sad.

I don't hate Emma, I think I have some issues with how they've written her character (and ugh in Goblet of Fire when she was telling Ron of and she WEEPED her lines instead of yelling them at him that irritated me) in the films, but that's about it.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU.

I've been telling people about that Yule Ball scene for so long and nobody else agrees with me. That was one of my favourite bits in all of the books; that exchange was perfect, it perfectly summed up the entire relationship. I mean it's that moment where you know and Hermione knows and Harry knows and Ron's just standing there like a goldfish. And Hermione's meant to be angry; Hermione doesn't cry when someone frustrates her - especially if it's Ron. The crying in that scene was just completely out of character and oh I get angry just thinking about that film.

(THE MULLETS! HARRY BEING FAR TOO IMPRESSED BY HERMIONE! THE WEEEEEPING)

I think it's because that was my favourite book: I was always going to be disappointed.

No that really bugs me, because of what it represents. Hermione yelled at Ron in that scene and it was glorious -- it wasn't her dating Krum to make him jealous, it was Hermione going, "Hey, I'm not going to wait around forever, I am going to be a strong confident woman and if Ron Weasley wants to keep being an idiot, let him!" and I LOVED that about her and about them. It felt more real to me. The weeping stuff -- ugh.

I really disliked a lot of things about that movie, but it's one of my favorite books too (Chamber is my favorite and Goblet is second).

Hmmm... and then OotP, which I hated as a book (well... as much as I could "hate" a book of a series I love much more than is really appropriate) I found the film really enjoyable. IDK I think it's better when your hopes are not so high?

(heh. IDK is like a smiling stickman on its side!)

TBH, there are people who bitched about the dress colour; that never bothered me. It was that exchange, where Ron knows he hurting Hermione, and Hermione is all "I'm a girl... you've hurt my feelings... I'm going to cry" rather than how it should be which was much more... nuanced. Ron being angry and not quite sure why but knowing it has something to do with Hermione, and Hermione knowing damn well why Ron is angry and getting frustrated because neither of them can voice what both of them know deep down.
