So... I find it interesting this is all about gay stuff. What, no complaints about the "OMG HE'S A GUY AND SHE'S A GIRL AND THEY'RE BEST FRIENDS, THEY'RE OBVIOUSLY SLEEPING TOGETHER" that's only about a billion times more common (in most things anyway, even if not your parts of fandom)?

I agree with the secret, and I agree with what you've said here, too.

I made a comment the other night about the character-twisting implications of slash, and then I took a step back and thought about it and had to make another comment, because it's not slash per se, it's shipping in general. I just happen to be involved in fandoms that are mostly slash-oriented.

The truth is that no two characters can interact in any way without at least someone deciding to ship them. And that's fine; it's just annoying when people get obnoxious about it.

Funny, because I complain about that. Especially like (some of the more popular slash pairings) the het pairing is a total asspull.
