Seriously? Dude's all, "Oh, hot chick, but she has kids. I'll just smile at her."

Then he's all, "OH WAIT, THEY'RE HER SIBLINGS, SHE'S WITH HER MA. COOL, I'LL MOVE IN, THEN." Stalks her to a campsite because he can't let this "opportunity" get away(!) and eventually has sex with her.

I mean, okay, there's creepier things out there, sure. But I found that pretty creepy. Just the way he apparently spends the entire book talking about women as if they're game animals freaks me out.

IDK, the way I see it, is that she didn't have to do that. I mean if it were me that wouldn't have happened. Soooo... w/e. It's not like its a book teaching you how to hypnotize women so you can sex them up or something.

I just imagine the audience this book was probably written for and it makes me laugh to myself. Sure it's kind of weird but I don't feel like I'm going to suddenly fall victim to anyone that's read this book.

Yeah, sure, she chose to sleep with him. (Although I wonder if she'd have felt the same way if she knew he had followed her to the campsite in general hopes of bagging her getting her in bed, rather than just that he happened to be at the same campsite.)

And the non-verbal stuff is all right, as far as that goes. Some people really don't know how to either read or convey interest, so I don't see that as a sinister thing to pass along. It's just human communication.

It's really more just the tone of the book; which basically frames women as, like I said, animals to read, track down and snare. Or, alternatively, something alien and strange which require elaborate decoding. Which I found creepy and very DNW.


Although there's totally humour in it, too. Possibly I'm just in a touchy mood this week because I've had to read a lot about messed-up stuff for my sociology class, and this totally just slots right into that.
