It's not so bad at all until there's a huge wave of new fans who've seen the anime/movie and played nothing of the game. Even then, it's okay until they begin talking down to the people who have played the game and write terrible, OOC fanfiction and RP terrible, OOC characters.

Then you'll know how we feel.

Well, I played FFVII back when it first came out, even if I was only about twelve at the time. I was never all that active in the fandom though, so the effects of things like AC and DoC didn't really hit me. With this, I know I'm really going to feel it.

You guys have my sympathy. I'm starting to understand, and it sucks.
