11. Uh, Kentaro Miura himself said that her rape was supposed to be symbolic of the trust she had in Griffith, since he saves her from rape when they first met, then he saved her from rape at the Eclipse only to use her as a tool against Guts. It was emotional, and some people found how messed up it was sexy, but it wasn't meant to be sexy. He said it represented the rape of trust.

Kind of like how his symbolism with Guts' sword was supposed to be about how Guts got mixed up in the mud and blood of the earth while Griffith stayed high in the skies, but people somehow think it represents a penis...raping monsters that represent vaginas.

Do some research on his interviews? The anime made the rape a lot more erotic than the manga did. The manga had her bleeding horribly from 'down there' and showed her clearly in pain, the anime did a crappy job of showing that.

I don't think it was meant to be sexy either! Berserk was the first manga that had me crying during such a painful scene (USUALLY I JUST GO OVER SUCH STUFF WITHOUT A SECOND LOOK) but even in the anime, by the last episode I was just in tears AND THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.

Poor Caska. ;_; Then again, I mourned the loss of the first BotH so. D: WOE.

I agree. I thought the scene was erotic in a dangerous and artistic sense, because of what it represented between Guts and Griffith (two soldiers, and how Casca was basically the battlefield and Griffith was 'raping' and conquering the land), but it wasn't HAWT. HAWT to me was like...Guts and Griffith being gay together every two seconds, or Guts and Casca's lovemaking scene ♥

I hated the death of all of the Hawks ahahah the anime made me cry hardcore :B but the manga had it even sadder for me. That part of the manga was just heartbreaking, but what was even worse was seeing Guts afterwards :\ and how heartless and fucked up he became.

I have a link to a few, including the one where Suwazarama haweaweawe whateverthefuckhisname is (the guy who did the OST for the anime) said he thought Guts' sword represented the rape of vaginas LOLOLOL and Miura is all "...no" XD

:) Do you have an email? I'd rather email them to you (because the location of the site has translated and password protected chapters/interviews that i'm kind of not allowed to show publically :x then again, online scanslations of berserk are illegal ANYWAYS, which is why I was surprised mangahelpers had the recent episode and was inquiring you about it on your post XD _>)
