But Japan does work with Nazi Germany in Hetalia. It's clear they're on the same side, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about?

Also, there's tons of movies very similar like this from the 50s, if it's one-sided jingoism with demonization of the 'other' that you want.

Where was I complaining? o_O I merely said I want to see a serious APH movie that would not avoid the war's horrors. Exactly what got you people acting so strangely, hm? Don't you want to stop politically correcting me, which is useless since I'm consciously about as PC as the character representing my motherland, and think about a cast for that hypothetical movie instead?

Also, there's tons of movies very similar like this from the 50s, if it's one-sided jingoism with demonization of the 'other' that you want.

Thank you, I have already concidered watching old American war movies. They must be a ton of fun. Do you know which ones are the best?:)

Also, the suggestion to use Google for information about Rape of Nanking and Unit 731 goes to you, too. People truly have to face reality and admit that one cannot demonize what basically were demons. How do people equate themselves with demons? - why, by acting like they were reared in hell. The Japanese in WWII pulled it off with great success.

I know about the rape of nanking, and japanese medical experimentation, and the treatment of their prisoners of war. That doesn't change the fact that most Japanese, then and now, were ordinary human beings like you or me, with ordinary dreams and desires, who don't deserve to be stigmatized.

Every nation has atrocities in it's history. Every nation has, collectively, done things that are 'evil'. It is dishonest to single out one nation, as you are doing. It's also unhelpful- how can we live together peaceful, if you are constantly opening up old wounds like that?

(frozen comment) :)))))))))))))))))

LOLed so hard. Yeah, most Germans also were just ordinary human beings like you or me, with ordinary dreams and desires, who don't deserve to be stigmatized like they are in Hollywood movies, over and over again... There's of course that little fact that the vast majority of Germans energetically supported Hitler and accepted his race theory, and the vast majority of the Japanese totally supported their madmen-in-charge, too - but these are not politically correct facts, I understand. Why talk of them at all and let the ugly truth open up old wounds when we could have world peace through only a little... oh well, *a lot* of lying?

...Oh. We couldn't! Lying, by word or by selective silence, has never ever brought about any lasting peace. Bugger that idea. :´( :DDD

(I'm actually *not* singling out one nation, I'm singling out two, and then mentioning Hiroshima, so that would be at least three - and then I'd not want the movie to remain silent about Ivan's boss, too. Is it too much to ask you to actuall *read* what you're commenting on, hm?)

so j/w
on what level of "offensive" would you place soviet peacetime atrocities (purges, repression, genocides, etc.
