18 said that they were talking about artists who haven't improved by a certain point. It's true, too. Using the analogy of fan artists, if you've been drawing for years and you can't do anything besides awkwardly-jointed furries and googly-eyed pretty people, you've stagnated and you suck.

Appreciation is one thing, but people going "OMFG SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOO GREAAAAATTTTT" are holding you back by not inspiring you to improve. It's the few brave souls who link to anatomy exercises and give helpful tips that get shat on, and it needs to end.
