Ughhhhh, agreed. I've never had a prompt filled ever (and I do my part to fill others, honest!) but I don't complain about it. Except for right here. It would just feel tacky to do so.... I want someone to fill my requests because they want to, not because they feel guilty or sorry for me. =/

I love that on the picture, it starts with "can't pay for uni", then it goes to "my life is falling apart" then people having bad days and it ends with a screenshot of someone saying "haircut from hell".

I kinda did this once. I'd failed in the kitchen and managed to burn soup and had to start over from the beginning and was OMG HUNGRY, so I told the meme about my fail and requested that one of my favourite characters, a cook, have a similar kitchen fail and experience wasted food angst.

I'm not ashamed of my request.

Doesn't bug me. There's shit I'd probably tell an anon meme I won't say to my flist. (Sorry, not going to trigger the suicidal folks with multiple meds and stupid doctors who don't get it just because I felt like playing in traffic today.)

But I only answer the prompt if it's something I'd want to write anyway.

The prompts themselves don't bother me so much, but the fact that they often get filled that same day when many other great prompts aren't filled at all does annoy me a little bit.

Honestly, this is probably fucked up, but there have been times when the only thing that will motivate me to write fic is knowing that it will make somebody happy who isn't me. I know my own happiness should be enough motivation, but... yeah, not usually. So I kind of love those prompts, because they actually switch on my ability to write.

I don't mind it when it colors the prompt. Like I filled one because someone said they watched a horror movie that scarred them, and they wanted a character going through something scary/horrifying and making it out alive. That let me know the tone they wanted and what sort of things they probably wanted the character to go through.

At first I thought "cry moar" when I read this secret but then I thought "Actually I suppose that's annoying" but my final thought on the matter is that really you should just look at what the anon is asking for, paying attention to the "Batman/Commander Shepard, buttsechs" part and ignoring the bit that says "my country has just been invaded by a foreign power and they raped my sister, what I please need to cheer me up is some ghey sexings pweety pwease" bit.
