Yeah, I hate to say it but this secret doesn't surprise me in the least. I think about 80% percent of the people against the movie are just upset that their particular casting choice wasn't chosen. Then, they latched onto the racebending movement to feel better/more superior/whatever.

If it helps, try to think of the movie as a separate fandom than the show. Otherwise your brain will sorta explode.

Really? Is the idea that people are honestly, truly are upset about them making all the main characters White, then "fixing it" by making the BAD GUYS dark skinned (without even bothering to use the same nationalities, even for close relatives [Zuko = Indian, Ozai = Maori?!]) really that hard for you to believe? Just because YOU don't care about the issue doesn't mean no one else does.

You're not alone, Anon. I decided long before any actual casting that I was just going to take whatever actors they threw at me because there was no way Dante Basco would be Zuko and I would not be satisfied.
