I think about 80% percent of the people against the movie are just upset that their particular casting choice wasn't chosen. Then, they latched onto the racebending movement to feel better/more superior/whatever.
If it helps, try to think of the movie as a separate fandom than the show. Otherwise your brain will sorta explode.

Really? Is the idea that people are honestly, truly are upset about them making all the main characters White, then "fixing it" by making the BAD GUYS dark skinned (without even bothering to use the same nationalities, even for close relatives [Zuko = Indian, Ozai = Maori?!]) really that hard for you to believe? Just because YOU don't care about the issue doesn't mean no one else does.
