(Anonymous) 2010-03-23 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)I think my flist, when I still logged into LJ, instead of just checking my friends page, thinks I'm dead, because one of the last things I posted was about my massive (at the time) heroin habit-and how completely unrepentant about it I was. (I still don't regret anything except maybe spending 10k in a year on smack.)
But really, who died and made them morality police? Especially because so many people in fandom are all about equality and tolerance, and yet they go on and on about how awful drug addicts are. (Never mind the fact that real drug addiction is a major social issue) and they obviously have no fucking clue what they're talking about. It's just horribly two-faced for them to complain about one social injustice while completely and totally ignoring another.
There's a hell of a lot more to sobriety than simply "not taking drugs" but none of them understand that.
