I know people mean well when they say things like this, but whenever people express the wish for bigger breasts, they don't mean Christina Hendricks size (who I'd imagine could legitimately complain about back pain and clothes not fitting) but just 'larger-than-flat-chested'. You'd be surprised at the number of people who assume I'm anorexic because I've got virtually no boobs (and as we know, Real Women Have Curves).

I would like to be able to wear a beautiful shirt or dress without someone making a comment about how, they don't mean to be rude darling, but it would look better on a woman with curves. The waist and hips and ass I have obviously don't count, though.

If I could find beautiful things that made me look beautiful that fit on my chest, I'd wear them, but it's pretty hard when you're - just about literally - flat up there. I'd like to be confident in my body, but I feel like if maybe I had an average chest size for the rest of my body that at least I could wear a shirt and not feel like a child who hasn't gone through puberty yet and is trying to wear a grown-up's clothes.

The day-in, day-out embarrassment, harassment, and self-loathing get to a person after a while. OP's secret made me feel a little better about myself, too, I'll admit. Until the thread destroyed that.

Your body shape sounds like mine from your description. Nothing to be ashamed of! Different strokes for different folks too; I've gotten compliments on my lower half without my lack of chest getting pointed out.

Nice thing about having a smaller chest is that t-shirts often fit better, and you can wear lower-cut tops without looking "trashy" to others.
