I mean, it's disgusting how obese she is, but I REALLY admire how she's comfortable in her own skin. Not that she shouldn't take a different approach... like eating healthy (IDK if she does). You can do active things to get healthy while still feeling great about your body.

(Anonymous) 2010-03-24 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)I don't want to open the paper in ten years and read about this brilliant, talented, funny, cool girl being found dead in her apartment from a massive heart attack or stroke.
Look at Queen Latifah! She didn't try to be a size two. Just healthier, and more aware of her body, and preventing diabetes and heart disease that ran in her family.
I love Gaby's confidence and her talent. I just hate that people are glossing over the fact that her obesity is likely to cause her to die far too young. Strong, confident, talented and classy young black women are needed as role models. I think she's great, but I think she's being held up as a positive for being obese, and that's not good.
