Throwing out a guess here: It's easy to be unashamedly hot when writing exclusively about the opposite sex because you don't have the urge to reality check it against your own experiences. This isn't to say that yaoi writers want to write unrealistically, it's just that they don't have that party pooper inside that reminds them that they wouldn't enjoy it. Who knows, maybe the prostate gland does make anal feel a whole lot better.

I think this is a really good point! When I'm writing het there is definitely a voice in my head saying "I would NOT have an orgasm from that," even if I want the character to.

I feel like "party pooper" and "anal" are a really bad juxtaposition here, though. :D
