Really? I'm the opposite; maybe it's because (at least where I live) calling something 'gay' is much more acceptable than calling someone a faggot.

I tend to not let myself get worked up over words to much, just the way I am. It's possible I'm also desensitized to the overuse of "gay". I have other gay friends who don't mind "So gay" either. Part of me wonders if it's a location thing.

In any case, faggot just carries more venom to me, since the origin of the word comes from burning gays to death slowly, so that I can't let that one go so easy.
