I'm the same, anon. I actually have had that happened -- finding out about someone's RL that tainted what they do. I also believe in giving celebrities privacy so they aren't on camera all the time -- not that I think that's what they are going for on Twitter, but when it comes to the supermarket checkout rags, that stuff makes me cringe. The result: half the time I don't even know my favorite actors names.

I'm dying of curiosity about what fandom this is. At first because of the songs I thought it might be Flight of the Conchords ... but I think that show is over with, so the movie mention made me think it might be Mighty Boosh? IDK my knowledge of shows with frequent musical numbers is rather slim! I mean, I guess there's also Glee, but it's obviously not Glee.

I didn't need the community or a fanfiction or a fanart to donate straight away for Chile's cause and I personally hope that the "lack of success" in the petitions was not because people was not interested in the cause but because they didn't need anything in exchange to help.

I haven't read his stuff on Thor, but his run on Iron Fist was freaking awesome, and he's just generally a funny, interesting guy. However, the Iron Man stuff lately has been... troubling? I don't know. I haven't given up on him, depending on how he handles some of the crap he's introduced.

Sounds like someone I know. Comfort yourself with the knowledge that behavior like that often goes hand in hand with other kinds of passive-aggressive, attention-whoring behaviors that ultimately blow up in the perpetrator's face. I liked that movie. It was fun. I've also been completely all about JRM since high school when Velvet Goldmine came out, so I'm predisposed to love anything that has him in it.
