Uhh, plenty of people are perfectly OK with shipping older women and teenaged boys. It's a common theme in japanese storytelling (and even in american storytelling, I mean isn't that the plot of like every 80's movie about a young boy?), and I think the "if it were switched" argument is silly because of it.

And personally I can't ship it. I see their chemistry, but to me it doesn't go beyond a protective older sibling kinda bond. I think Snow/Hope goes the same way, but obviously I'm the only one who doesn't ship that either.

Haha, you're not the only one -- I don't 'ship Snow/Hope either. I just ... don't see that one AT ALL. "Big, protective brother" is about all I take from the Snow and Hope interactions later in the game. *is fired from fandom*

Yeah, exactly! That's all it is. Hope might even look up to him after a certain point in the game, but it's definitely not romance lol. Besides that, Snow is way too hung up on Serah to even consider it.

Right? I can't even begin to 'ship Snow with ANYONE aside from Serah, because he is CLEARLY not leaving that relationship any time soon. LOL

But yeah, after a point, I think Hope has a bit of hero worship for Lightning and he most likely looks up to Snow, as well. But beyond that, yeah, IDK. I just don't see anything else.

Actually I don't ship either particularly myself, but I suppose I can see why some people do. I'm nothing if not an equal-opportunity shipper.

I think part of this secret isn't loading for me, because I can't see this bit about the older woman/teenage boy thing. xD My entire reaction to this secret was really just "OP I LOVE YOU FOR MAKING A FF13 SECRET." Any excuse to oogle the gorgeous character designs. XD

Oh yeah, I can understand that. I'm pretty open with ships too, and I can GET why people do it, I just.. cannot see it in my own personal viewpoint of the characters.

There's a bit at the end that says something about it being a bad thing because Hope is only 14, and that it would be more acceptable if Hope were a 14-year-old girl and Lightning a man. I just.. can't agree with that at all. I think there's an equal amount of love for older man/young girl ships as there is for older woman/young boy ships. But either way people are going to judge it because SOMEONE is underaged. I mean, that's to be expected.

What, seriously? I always thought it would be LESS acceptable if Hope were a girl, or at least on par because someone's still underage, as you said. O.o OP clearly lives very far away from where I do.
