But come on, sure she can fight very well, but the character is an 11 year old who was manipulated by her father into being a murderer. Is it just the badassery that people are attracted to?

XD Understandable. While I did find her the only interesting character in a movie I didn't like in the least, I find it strange that people who express these desires to emulate her gloss over the fact that she is a child murderer manipulated into that role because her daddy wanted revenge. The character of Hit Girl is fairly messed up, and if you just want to be able to kick some serious ass without the rest of what goes along with her character, then do you really want to "be" Hit Girl? <--- Which is more what I was trying to say in the obove comment, but kind of failed. XD

She's reminiscent of Charlie Baltimore or Beatrix Kiddo--the pint sized version. And let's face it--there aren't too many female characters who are like that, so it's no surprise to me why she's so popular (and also, so hated).

Frankly, I like her too, and I wish the story had been more focused on her and Big Daddy.
