Basically I can see why you feel that way and sometimes the objectifying of gay man and women bothers me too, among a number of other things (elevating homosexual people ABOVE straight people just because you like anything gay, neither orientation should 'better than' another, for example).
Buuut I don't agree with your secret.

As far as objectifying men - hey, it is porn after all, if we're honest with ourselves, and if some people want no girly parts/manbits in their porn it's their choice.
In non-pwp, I guess it's more about not feeling threatened by the part of the pair that's your own gender. This one is especially prevalent in the "13-year-old yaoi fangirl" type.
The secret is just problematic because it assumes all slash is made for fetish reason. A lot of people who ship slash also ship het. Also, some gay people (like me) primarily ship slash because they find it easier to relate to.

I see what you're saying, and I understand it...I admit I do love me some porn so saying anything about objectifying people is REALLY hypocritical on my part. And I definitely understand shipping slash because of being able to relate.
Nevertheless, I can't help but feel...really upset whenever someone has a theme of picking only the gay characters to care about in any media, regardless of what type of character they are. Maybe that's not technically objectifying...glorifying maybe? God, I'm so tired I don't know words X_X;
