Dude, you can be in two fandoms at the same time. If you really want to leave the hater zone, just quietly fade out of it. No one is even going to notice if it's a gradual shift.

Leave. It's hard to move on from something when you feel like it'll look like the others "won", but you'll be much happier.

Leave or at least take a hiatus or spend a little less time. Fandom is supposed to be fun, if it stops being fun it's time to get out. I hate when friends leave, but I've managed to maintain some of those relationships which I'm thankful for.

What's important is your enjoyment. If you aren't enjoying this fandom... for whatever reason... go to the other. There is nothing keeping you from coming back when you feel like it.

If on the other hand you like the idea of defying the trolls, stay where you are.

But it really is your choice. You aren't obligated to do anything that you won't enjoy.

Is your fandom KPop? lol... but if it is, I wouldn't blame you. A lot of my friends have left k-pop because of the wank :(

But whatever it is, I'd say leave. Fandom's supposed to be fun, and if you have good LJ friends they'll love you no matter what you're fangirling :D

It's sad how many fandoms this seems to apply to -- I automatically thought Chulu.

If it's not fun for you, don't do it... but I don't get why people get so upset over being trolled. It's not like they're real fans of the fandom who hate your work or you, they're just people who've figured out a way to make you upset. It doesn't reflect on you or your writing.

If you really feel like you can't cope with the hate, it's better that you leave the fandom. Maybe not entirely because I'm sure there are other places on the internet where you can enjoy your fandom or even comms you can join to get away from the trolls but if the trolls are bothering you that much, no one will blame you for leaving.

However, those trolls shouldn't stop you from writing the kind of fanfic you enjoy writing. You can always delete their comments or ban them from your journal. They might not even comment on your fanfic at all.
