Wow. Yeah, I can see that. I stopped playing FF after X-2 (I never even finished it), but now this makes me want to play XIII! FF VIII was my favorite.

Although I did read an awesome/cracky post on someone's LJ that said something similar...not that Fang was their kid, but that all the XIII characters were mirrorverse characters of the FF8 cast, and Fang was Rinoa's. So you're not the only person to make a connection.
