Also, just a thought, OP, but maybe you find Castiel more attractive in a non-physical sense? Sexual attraction is not based purely on looks. And then there's the fact that sex dreams are not always based on sexual attraction, so. I dunno.

Re: the finale. Ugh, I didn't like it either. I'm not that into the fandom so I only saw the episode discussion posts on some comms and not the 'deep' thoughts other fans might have posted later, but I think a lot of people didn't really like it that much. For various reasons.
The reaction that I remembered, mostly because I share it, is one of 'wtf was that?' and 'at least no one died (permanently)'. I still don't really know what to make of it, what the exact meaning was. I'm also a bit annoyed at the lack of attention Team Free Will/ the Show gave to the all the disasters the Apocalypse unleashed on the world.
