i am Spanish. Most of us were deeply impressed and admired by Germany's class during and after the game. Their outstanding sportsmanship made Spaniards cheer for Germany against Uruguay, something strange in itself since we're culturally closer to Uruguay and we have close ties to them, they're an ex-colony of ours and all that, plus not many people here are happy with Germany right now, for political reasons. They were the only team that played with class and good football against Spain, the only ones that didn't fall back and close on defense making lots of fouls, that's why their match was the cleanest and most beautiful of the entire tournament. We also love Paul and have offered Spanish citizenship to himXD
I truly think they were the best team at the World Cup, better than Spain. They had just The one bad match, against Spain, but overall they were superior

I'm also a Hetalia fan ^^
But my football fangirling started after we won the EurochampionsXD

Man, you are the first Spaniard I've seen who has admitted that the Germans were the best team of the World Cup. I mean, passing games are lovely and all, but the Germans just made something BEAUTIFUL happen, every time (except against Spain, as said.) Thanks for being classy!

Haha, really? For me, there's no doubt! I do believe that, at this point, the Spanish team is superior as a team and in technique, but they definitely played worse and less beautiful in this competition. Germany deserved to win, and if they didn't it's because of their youth, they let themselves be impressed by Spain and played a bit intimidated (which surprised me, to be honest; Germany was the only team to play contantly well and as winners in each of their matches; Spain could never have scored four goals against Argentina, I believe. But well, the Germans ARE very young).
In two years time they'll be crushing us other Europeans for sure! They have the most promising players for the future (and they are as adorable as the Spanish, too! which is rare among football teams, judging by the Cup xD)

I am truly impressed by their class and their beautiful play. And you'll see that everybody in Spain will be cheering for them as an alternative for our team (if only Paul could be there too...! xD). Football is VERY SERIOUS BUSSINESS here, and Spaniards seem very critical of Italy's style now, are as disappointed in England as everybody else, France was a laughingstock so far, Netherlands played like thugs, Spain was inconsistent...and among all that disaster, Germany shone. I'll be paying attention to your local league for sure!
