It's begun already with claims that one character bottoming too often in slash fic is "PROBLEMATIC,"

Shit I should let my irl friend who chooses to bottom exclusively in his relationships that his behavior is unrealistic and PROBLEMATIC.

His experience is not indicative of all gay men's! Just because HE'S not offended by a character taking it up the pooper all the time doesn't mean it's not inherently offensive!

Just wait until the Internet Authorities start deciding slash itself is offensive, just as a concept. Some of them already have, actually, but luckily it hasn't really caught on because we like our porn too much.

Already happened last year. Most of them had no experience with slash fandom, and made a lot of mistakes (most notably claiming that there were no queer slashers, and that queer women slashers didn't count, because they couldn't understand "real" homophobia). Actually, I thought some made good points, but they were overshadowed by ones who said that women couldn't write slash because they didn't know about the Red Cross's policy of turning away gay men.
