So do I. I also ship Cobb with pretty much the whole rest of the team, and Arthur and Ariadne with at least half of the team.

When I left the theater, my best friend and I discussed how happy we were with the writers NOT letting a romance develop between Cobb and Ariadne, because it would've completely defeated the tragedy and drive of his character. That's how the STORY should've gone.

I don't see much use to an argument for storyline integrity when it comes to fandom ships, though. It's basically glorified masturbatory fantasy, who cares if the ship defies the actual movie? It's harmless fun.

I get shipping noncanon for fun and fic, but it's not my style.

Thank you. I can't ship Cobb with anyone else because the entire movie was basically about the love between him and Mal, and his guilty of indirectly being responsible for her death.

I can fangirl over slash as much as the next person, but I prefer it to actually make sense--I don't wear slashgoggles.

Thank you- I was beginning to think I was the only one who came away from it with that impression. Not to say that I thought their's wasn't a tragic, beautiful love story, but she's kinda, like, dead now. They already grew old together in a world that they created, what could be more romantic than that? But that's over and done with now.
