I think it's really cool that even though at one point in the movie he GOES OUT OF HIS WAY TO GET ARIADNE TO KISS HIM, people still love making him like getting cocks shoved up his ass.

I actually didn't see any chemistry with those two. And I looked for it after that. He could have done it, because Oh, she's pretty, or because he thought it would (for some reason) distract the dream projections. But I was glad they left any potential romance subplot involving Ariadne out of the movie. It wouldn't have been necessary, so I'm glad they didn't squeeze it in.

Him and Eames, though? The teasing made me go, 'lol, they're married', and I don't even know if I'd want to ship it. Just in the odd couple sort of way.

But with a cast full of good-looking men? Slash is pretty much inevitable. I'm sure there will be gen and Ariadne fic at some point.

I agree. No chemistry. Plus adding a romantic subplot would have detracted from the movie as a whole. And I think the teasing between Eames and Arthur just lightened up the movie so it wasn't completely stressful or fast paced the whole time.

But even that kiss wasn't shippy at all. It was just a guy trying to kiss a pretty girl. =\
