I get so creeped out by people in this fandom, in every damn fandom known to man, becoming fixated on the sexual exploits of the one main character who doesn't even appear to be in the same ZIP CODE as puberty.

To be fair, Ahiru's age is never given...she could be an under-developed 13-year-old for all we know, she is shown to have the small starts of breasts. Still, I do understand that the issue of her being underage might be a problem for some, and in that case all I might say is that Fakir presumably is only 14-17 years old himself. They both can grow up a bit. XD

As well, though, might I point out that this anime is shoujo and that the setting is that of a fairy tale? In shoujo manga/anime, such age gaps can be quite common, romance-wise (i.e. Rika and Terada-sensei from Cardcaptor Sakura and Amu and Ikuto in Shugo Chara)...and of course in the time period many fairy tales were written it was not uncommon for teenage girls to marry at younger ages than they do today. Our standards are not necessarily Kinkan Town's standards. ;) That being said, though, I do still think they would have to grow up a bit before having a sexual relationship, and I think a lot of the fandom for the pairing agrees. ♥

Just because that age difference was accepted back then doesn't mean modern viewers need to accept it now. Also, I think what most people object to (myself included) is that it would even occur to people for them to have sex, even if they are older. I, for one, think the whole idea sort of cheapens their relationship, which was built on a trusting partnership and an acceptance of who they were, rather than any sort of physical attraction.

I think OP is merely trying to say it would be fun to see. As a fan of the pairing, yes, Fakir and Ahiru having sex is something I like to read. It's just good fun. There are other pairings I enjoy reading about who have sex, and if sex cheapens the Fakir/Ahiru relationship, then does that mean it cheapens any other pairing's relationship as well?

Then again, all of this is in good fun. Personally, I'd like to see their trusting relationship build into a sort of romantic relationship. That would be nice to see happen.

...I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised that you see Fakir and Ahiru having sex as cheapening their relationship. I will admit that I am not the sort that wants them to have sex without it also involving development in their relationship and involving a sensible but romantic bond between them, but I really don't think most Fakiru shippers, at least not those who ship them for that trusting partnership and acceptance, feel any differently than I do. Sex does not have to be something that is solely for the physical pleasure between two characters (or for the person writing about them, in this case XD); I think that a healthy romantic relationship should involve sexual intercourse, since it shows a very high level of trust and acceptance...and I think, since I do ship Fakir/Ahiru, that I could see them reaching that level and showing it through sex in a romantic relationship.

As for the age difference, I can respect that, and I believe that's why the majority of Fakiru shippers, again, visualize the pairing and any possible sex happening when they're older.

Yeah i hate that!! Why is sex "impure" why does it "ruin" or "cheapen" things? I hate that line of reasoning! Sex combined with love is a wonderful thing! Sex in general is a natural thing. I'm not worthless cause I have sex and neither is anyone else. baaah

You know, right now on Dev Art, there's a contest going about PT characters 'settling down'. I don't think it's wrong to entertain the idea of them falling in love (hell, Fakir's romantic feelings for her are canon), having a family, etc. And yes, sex included. I personally don't believe it cheapens the relationship to have a physical aspect in there, as well as the rest.

But we're each entitled to our opinions and I respect yours. Still, like the above commenter said, this is all in good fun. It's fandom. It's meant for fun and to enjoy yourself with any possibilities you like. :D

Honestly, the only think I really object to is porn of them. Because even if they are older, most people are going to have the image of her as she is now, and that's just disturbing.

If it's disturbing to you, don't pay attention to it. It's really not that hard. I've never seen anyone post porn of them and not provide strict warnings, much less post it directly with no cuts or something.

Honestly, just because it disturbs some people doesn't mean I'm going to be ashamed of posting fic or sharing doujinshi. It's there for the people that do want it.
