Sure, in most fandoms for things that are still on. Slash fans may be louder, and they often seem to keep alive fandoms that should by rights be long dead (mfu, pros, s&h, ts), but they're not actually more numerous most of the time.

It really depends on the fandom. Fandoms for canon gay pairings tend to be mostly slash, yanno? (I'm not sure what the crap OP is on about, or how slash fandoms for canon gay pairings factor in to their judgings at all).

But as ever, LJ fandom =/= fandom and even if slash fans are a majority in a given LJ fandom that doesn't mean they're in the majority overall.
