Exactly! Before I watched it I thought the premise was kinda lousy, but my friend handed me over the DVDs of the first season and while I started out going 'wtf' every five minutes, after a while I realised I was shouting at the tv 'hey! it's a ghost, iron and salt bitches, remember it!' and that was the start of the slippery slope. I got to the end of S1 and I was hooked. Damn show.

And now with the end of S5 and the whole *EVERYTHING* I'm just overwhelmed by how much I care about these characters. I swear, during the last two episodes I was bawling my eyes out.

Damn Chuck and his damn narration, and damn the Impala for being so awesome... *sigh*

Ha ha, I did it totally backwards--I started with the S5 premiere just because I loved Mark Pellegrino in "Lost" so much, but by 5x03 the amazingness that is Dean/Cas had grabbed me entirely and I ended up marathoning the entire series in <3 weeks. >____> Obsessive? Me? No. *didn't just come from the NJ con last month, or...anything* Usually it takes me a WHILE to truly, deeply fall in love with a show, but this was just instant. And I was basically hyperventilating throughout the S5 finale, so I hear ya. D:

Me too. I started watching because I caught Cas' kick ass entrance scene and now I own all the seasons on dvd. Looking back, Cas' friendship with Dean is kind of sad because Cas is the only canon friend (outside of Sam) Dean has ever had. I guess he finally found the Bert to his Ernie.

HEE, your icon is excellent! Yeah, I watched 5x01-5x04 or so before I realized I needed to start at the beginning and see EVERYTHING, but then I cheated by watching 4x01 first. A few times. >___> I couldn't help it!

I really love how even though Cas doesn't show up until the end, he's still a big presence through out that episode. I thought it was a nice parallel to Houses of the Holy; Dean spends his entire life not believing in angels and not only does one save from The Pit but it becomes his friend.
