I feel like I should defend the PS3 because my fandom is partially a PS3 exclusive butttttttttttttt I can understand why you hate it. :( I don't hate it but the L2 and R2 buttons make me want to PUNCH THROUGH A WINDOW.

I have a fiend in RL who has a PS3, and so far according to her, it has been just about the only piece of machinery that has never died on her, or needed repairs about a week after she bought it. So there's that I guess. I wish I could afford one because I want to play FFXIII.

Oh, console wars. I never plan to get a PS3 because there aren't enough exclusives I want for the ridic price and I don't care about Bluray. I have a couple of friends who have them and like them though. *shrug* It's not an inherently bad console. Who cares?

AUGH, PS3. I love my PS3, don't get me wrong. But I was one of the people affected by the Blu-Ray firmware update that caused my Blu-Ray laser to go bad, and when Sony pretty much said '...yeah, we're not taking responsibility for any of this', I WAS PISSED. And then when I called about getting it repaired, not only did they want some ridiculous amount of money, but I wasn't even getting my PS3 back. I was getting a refurbished system, and oh by the way, they weren't going to transfer over any of my data. WTF, SONY. WTF.

So I bought a new one and use the old one as a DVD players upstairs. But yeah. When it works, I LOVE MY PS3. SO MUCH.

I still don't own any current gen consoles [I spend most my disposable income on comics/dvds], but I do own a few blu ray discs, without anything to play them on. I considered buying a PS3 to play my as yet un-played bluray discs on, but now... This secret makes me wonder if I should stay away from the PS3 as a bluray player choice... I am now conflicted. :\

Sure, it has it's issues but what console doesn't? I've always been a Playstation girl and I adore my PS3. Got it because of Resident Evil 5 which turned out to be the worst fucking game of the entire series.
