Well, he's her character so she can write him as she sees fit. Clearly she doesn't think people can't change since Percy figured out what a prat he'd been, and Malfoy had his own turn around of sorts.

Malfoy's turn was fitting for his character. It was a begrudging "I don't want to admit I was wrong" type of thing, which is the kind of person he was.

Agreed. Also, I think it would've been wildly OOC for Snape to suddenly start treating Harry with something resembling respect, even in, say, Books 2 and 3. If he got over himself and started favoring Harry or even treated him with anything more than bitter tolerance - because the point of him hating Harry was to show that not everyone lurrved Potter and that mean people do selfless things - not only would it have been extremely suspicious to Harry, but IMO it might have made Snape's loyalty to Dumbledore a little less questionable later on in the series.

I guess it's one of those specific things that I personally could get on board with happening in fic, but in canon I'm fine with how things played out between those two characters.

"Stick it to certain fans" means like "directed to certain fans"? (sorry, no native English speaker here)

I'm absolutely sure the 'receding line' in the epiloge was a jab directed to Draco's fans. I can be mistaken, I accept that, but why are you so sure she didn't do it? She has said several times that she doesn't like the idea of Draco having so many fans. If she thoughr that she maybe needed to make the character less handsome in order to make him less atractive to the readers, why wouldn't she do that?

Yeah, pretty much. "Stick it to them" kind of means to do something to someone out of spite. I'm sorry, I'm terrible at expressing myself.

I guess I can see that she may have written Draco having a receding hairline as a message to fans, but I don't think she was necessarily being mean about it. I can't see her being outright rude to her fans.

She created him, how can anyone say she doesn't get "people like him" if these people were possibly never even a factor to begin with? You act as if there is some mold that all characters must fit in and authors who venture outside simply "don't get it".
