House is in love with Cuddy. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not canon.

i don't understand why slashers get upset over something like this since both relationships are completely different.

I don't really like Cuddy and even I can acknowledge and accept that House is in love with her. Slash fangirls have all sorts of excuses. "They're better as friends!" "There's just no chemistry!" "It obviously won't last!"

Get the fuck over it. And I say this as someone who ships ONLY m/m non-canon pairings. Take off the fucking tinhat, girls.

I agree, i think they have a sense of entitlement because the show just keeps feeding them with their slashy fanservice.

I've liked non canon couples before and the way the actually canon couples happen on the show doesn't damage my shipping.

Uh wow. You know it goes the opposite way too: just because something's canon doesn't mean you have to like it.

Not all slashers get upset over stuff like this just because it opposes their ship or whatever. Some just genuinely don't like a pairing. People do look for different things in partners, and that often translates into their feelings on fictional characters too.

Agreed. If someone spends all their time complaining about how awful it is, they should just stop watching. I dislike the pairing, but not enough to stop watching (yet. I'm seeing where they take it first). I was thinking more about the people like me, who like the show for more than just pairings, but also happen to dislike Huddy. You can dislike one thing and not hate the show, and you can dislike a pairing for reasons other than tinhatting (two things that some people in fandom don't seem to understand).

I'm not a slasher and I don't ship House with anyone but I can't stand Huddy.

I think House is obsessed with her and even used to see her as a challenge, while Cuddy... the anon in the threat up here said it perfectly: he likes the idea of House.

Wilson gets that that House is a dick and they actually get each other and get along.
House has a fixation on Cuddy and sees her as a challenge. Cuddy puts up with House. And likes the idea of him.

House/Cuddy, I am not a fan of that ship.

The only people who like Huddy...are Huddy fans, and the writers. Most of the fandom seems to hate it, critics hate it, and I don't know any casual viewers who like it.

Huddy is canon, but it doesn't mean it's not horrifically written. (Yes, I've given up the show.)

Amen to that. I don't think as many people would have an issue with House/Cuddy if it weren't being written the way it currently is. I myself am a House/Wilson shipper, but I wouldn't have minded House/Cuddy if it weren't so terribly written. Or rather, if Cuddy wasn't so terribly written.
I miss the strong independent woman from the early seasons who could trade barbs with House and tell him off when needed. She was a woman who could hold her own against him. But she has become so needy, pathetic and dependent on House these past few seasons and, quite frankly, it makes no sense. He's been nothing but an ass to her throughout the series, but as soon as he shows an interest in her, she breaks up her fucking engagement with Lucas on the off chance she might get together with House. What the hell were the writers thinking??
I'm not a big fan of Lucas, but I would have liked to see Cuddy realize she had a good thing and stayed with Lucas. Maybe even told House that, now that her eyes are open, she realizes getting with him would be bad for her and her child.

I hear that. I really hate it when the only reason characters are together is because the writers say they should be and have to change one or both of the character's personalities to do? If you have to make a character OOC to get your pairing to work, than your pairing doesn't really work now does it.
