Meh. I think it deserves to be up there with the rest of the 'Disney Princess' movies, though not saying it's the best of them at all. Music was weak (apart from evil Doctor's song and 'Almost There') and the writing didn't exactly have the impact of say Beauty & The Beast or Aladdin.

The animation was pretty in parts though. But the main thing that really saves this film for me are the characters. Tiana pwns over most of her predecessors (except Belle who's my favorite) and Naveen is one of the few 3 dimensional princes Disney has given us. Facillier is awesome and Lottie...was Lottie. :P Sidekicks could've been better though IMO (sorry Ray fans!).

I'd say, for me, it's on par with Little Mermaid which was always my least favorite of the genre. Though that had muuch better music.

Pretty much this. Some Disney movies are stellar, and some were not Disney's strongest. Some were poor on the whole, but have fun components that make them worth watching anyway. Frog was kinda floating around in the middle for me, objective quality wise. I lose interest in The Little Mermaid after 'Kiss the Girl' plays :/ Great songs, Ariel is fun and Ursula is YAY, but the story is not the best.

So much this, I think it was a strong film but a lot of people were putting too much pressure on it. Little Mermaid was technically the start of the Disney Renaissance but it's not as good as say the Lion King or Beauty and the Beast. The 2d studio needs to be given the chance to churn out a few more films again.

And I loved that Naveen actually had a personality. The characterization in the film was extremely strong.
