I kiiiiiind of saw it coming, to be honest. It was a surprise, but I did see it coming. It's very hidden and hinted at in the beginning, but, yeah. I can kind of understand you, but at the same time, even I saw it coming, and I'm a dunce.

Spoilers are usually clearly marked at the end of a post.
Of course everyone knows about the disclaimer. If you like fandomsecrets however, you're not going to be put off by the slim chance that you might have series plot development spoiled for you, but you are still going to be annoyed when it does happen.
What are the options anyway? Read every series you would ever want to before daring to look at a fs post, or stop visiting fs altogether?

Indeed, the deaths in the Harry Potter books are famous for being well contained and kept secret. Normally people know better than to mention them on the internet, I wonder why they didn't realise this.

And, wtf? The disclaimer is at the top of the post, not the bottom. Specified spoilers are at the bottom, but the disclaimer at the top clearly warns that there will be undisclosed spoilers, as well.

When I said about the spoilers at the bottom I was talking about the secrets, not the disclaimer. The disclaimer is kind of vague too- I thought when it said "there may be spoilers" it was talking about the specified ones, it doesn't use the term undisclosed either.

Tbh, it's not the spoiler that got me, it was the reaction to calling it a spoiler upthread. I don't think the disclaimer really puts anyone off (but the mods are right to put it there). Seeing as this is the place to put any thoughts you have for a secret, if your response is "hey, that's a spoiler for me", you should be able to put that without being called a dumbass who should cry more.

People read/watch things that are years or decades (or longer!) old all the time; you shouldn't feel like you have to put off discussing things forever. There's a general disclaimer and there are spoilers here all the time. Honestly, if it's that much of a problem, you really shouldn't read fandomsecrets. I've been spoiled for a lot of things online, but I don't mind, or I'd avoid certain places (like this one).

There are only six volumes. It takes less than an hour to read one volume. I might sympathize with you if we were talking about a tv series with over a hundred episodes or something that takes awhile to finish, but this is fucking Scott Pilgrim we're talking about.

Also, it's not exactly obscure -- you could find the books in any bookstore in North America.

So yeah, STFU.
