[SPOILERS FOR THE BOOKS, I SUPPOSE]

In the books, there're several 'James Moriarty's, all of them brothers.

And, let's not forget that the cabbie said that Moriarty was 'much more than a man'. So, I don't want to lose my hope until TPTB crush it themselves!

O RLY? I haven't read the books so I do not this!

I hope so, I would love Molly to play some role in being Sherlock's opponent. This series needs a bit of female kickassery.

I love the idea too, but it's not going to happen :(

I wouldn't be disappointed though. All I want is that the ~actual~ Jim Moriarty is an older, more mature guy that doesn't seem to have voice ADD. ALAN RICKMAN SHOULD PLAY MORIARTY OMG no srsly

Because unfffffffffffff that voice.

Yeah, Alan Rickman is always a superb choice for roles such as this one of Moriarty... but then, we audience would have to be extremely alert in the scenes between Cumberbatch!Sherlock and Rickman!Moriarty, mostly to not be confused about who's talking. They have such a similar voice, it's amazing! :D

Yep. If someone in the show doesn't deserve the manipulative behaviour is probably her. She's always appeared as a very nice person, and probably there were other ways to have her help (even if you're are a supposedly sociopath with no interest for others' feelings).

So, yes, I'm eagerly waiting for that owning-ass-moment like it's my job... XD

Randomly wandering around the internet, I just came across this, and now I must leave a belated comment to marvel at your brilliance. What a marvelous idea! I love Jim, but I see no reason why "Moriarty" can't be an organization or crime family that includes Jim but is actually headed by Eddie Izzard.

Honestly in the last episode I thought it was going to be Sarah. I do love the idea of Molly being Moriarty, though. Or else the mordern equivelent of the man who tries to shoot Holmes in The Empty House.

I think it would be cool if Molly were able to fool Sherlock, but I'd like to see him go through layer after layer of "Moriartys" before he got there.

AMEN to that. I must happen Y/Y!!!! :D
