I didn't like how Sam was treated through most of that season. :/ EVERYTHING IS SAM'S FAULT EVER. EVER.

Yeah, I'm sick of everything being Sam's fault. I mean some things ARE his fault, but not EVERYTHING. Let's blame Dean for some of his shortcomings as well -_-;

The only thing I remember Dean ever being called out on is the whole selling his soul thing, and even then it's portrayed sympathetically (not that it wasn't, but if we're blaming Sam for fucking things up even though he had good intentions, Dean deserves it too). Though we could be expected to not take Dean's views on everything, cause for the hero of the show, he has a pretty skewed moral compass.

I remember reading this interesting piece of meta that drew a parallel for Sam and Lucifer both being scapegoats for each of their dysfunctional families. I should really look for it again, it drew up several good points./ramble

Yeah it's just ridiculous. I hate to be one of 'those people' but I really miss the days where there wasn't all this angst and it didn't seem like everyone blamed Sam for everything and liked Dean better :(

I can definitely see how there is a parallel between Sam and Lucifer and I'd love to read that meta if you find it. :)

Angst is like chocolate for me: when it's good it's unbelievably so, when it's done incorrectly, it feels irrationally like someone betrayed you. Sam did the best option with the knowledge he had. Honestly, if everyone just took ten minutes of their lives and told each other shit and were actually honest, a lot of heartache could have been avoided. :/

After digging around my bookmarks for a bit (I have too many to be normal), I ended up finding it. :)

Yeah I do enjoy the angst but SPN just can't seem to do angst right. Oh well, I'm kind of still holding out hope for S6 to be better *crosses fingers*
