(Anonymous) 2010-09-20 02:20 am (UTC)(link)You probably read the above claim on an acupuncturist's website and never questioned whether it was actually true; never asked yourself "Hmmm, does the American Medical Association actually do studies?" That makes you the kind of consumer that acupuncturists and homeopaths and other quacks prey on; the kind that can be endlessly suspicious and critical of mainstream medicine, but will not exhibit the same skepticism towards "alternative" medicine (which, if it could be proven to work, would stop being "alternative" and be just "medicine.")
Way to be a prickzilla because someone's using more brainpower than you.
