Ah, this has happened to me :( It sucks. In my case, it wasn't (or isn't, even) a case of 'being afraid', the conversations just seemed to end up feeling ...awkward?

Maybe you just need a little bit of space, or something? Or if there's a new instalment to one of your shared fandoms coming out soon, try talking about that? It's also sad to lose a friend, or feel as if you're losing one.

ah I think methods like acupuncture can work very well for some things like muscle pain, but they don't help for things like cancer. Not in the way of curing it anyway. But I don't think he was an idiot, I mean it sounds like he didnt know what he had, if he just thought his leg was bothering him then acupuncture sounds viable. And a lot of bad doctors and quacks are spreading around bad information for profit. And in anycase sadly (very very sadly) chemo doesnt help all the time, sometimes the cancer is too aggressive or its been discovered too late

You must go to my school then, haha. I don't know who else would play that game except in history or science class. Actually I have no clue how popular it is, but I don't know of anyone who plays that outside of class--I guess I just kind of see it as being in the vein of Solitaire or Minesweeper.

Anyway, that's funny :) I got bored of it pretty quickly, but that way of playing would certainly make it interesting. Too bad I'm not in any fandoms with snipers.

I'm only partly playing Devil's Advocate here - why is this a secret? These shows are well known for offending people and for having a love/hate thing going on. They're the Marmite of TV. Don't be ashamed or embarrassed of hating them :/
