the people who hated the finale are mad because it ended so lame
you liked the finale but are mad at the people who didn't
LOST CAN'T PLEASE ANYBODY.
oblig: I didn't hate it, but I was unimpressed. I liked that it was an emotional ending, that it felt complete, with everyone happy to see each other and the big message being "it's okay, you can let go". Even the LOST black-screen ditched the PAHHH mystery sound and used a soft thud like a book closing. I spent 6 years of my life on this shit and I've had waaayyy too many shows get cancelled before their time and end with no conclusion, so this was nice. However, they could have and should have done better with the whole last season. I'm happy you liked the finale, but saying "Lost was never about the mindfucks or the science" is stupid. A LOT of people watched it for the mindfucks and the sci-fi. The writers spent countless hours setting them up, and in the end many went nowhere. People got pissed, cause Lost is indeed, a smart and complex show, that the endgame reduced to a lot of clichés that didn't even all seem to have been thought through.
