But of course! Because nothing is wrong about sexism/racism/homophobia/transphobia/etc.! If you have a problem with television treating women/PoC/gay people/trans people/etc. as if they weren't as good as straight cis white men, then you are just easily offended and you shouldn't take everything so seriously!

You know, OP, this is why I kick back with a beer and enjoy the interwebs melee over TV. I've gone from amazed to annoyed to amused. It makes me wonder how those bitching about racefail and homophobia would feel after reading Media Mythmakers. Granted, the book has flaws, but I think it would be really interesting to see what would happen to fandom if a good chunk of people involved read it. Maybe I should grab another beer.
