Heh, I had the same type of experience

I went through all of Assassin's Creed II cold-bloodedly killing hundreds of guards. And then by chance I see the flash of one guard's horrified eyes as I stab him in the stomach and all of a sudden I have tears in my eyes because I feel so sorry for this virtual guy who was just doing his job and his poor virtual family who don't exist ;___;

And then.. I went back to cold-bloodedly killing hundreds of guards because they were bothering me during my feather-hunting.

Emma Stone was the only really stand-out element of that movie, but damn did she stand the heck out. It's a shame that it will probably be fairly difficult for her to find roles where she can shine like that.
